We work in three places:  North Lincolnshire, around Scunthorpe, is a beautiful rural community south of the Humber; Rotherham, a place with real inequality but a remarkable regeneration over recent years; and the newly crowned city of Doncaster with its cohesive tradition of general practice and joint working.  All in all, just short of 750,000 people look to us for their mental health and autism care – adults, kids, and older adults - and about 250,000 rely on us for physical healthcare too and importantly we also provide learning disability services across the region.

Most of our services are rated good or outstanding and our staff survey results consistently suggest we are a good place to work with positive relationships and some real strengths around psychological safety and inclusion.  RDaSH has a new co-produced clinical and organisational five year strategy.  The 28 promises that underpin it will put the neighbourhoods that we serve at the very heart of the Trust as we aim to “nurture the power in our communities”.

As the CNO you will be responsible for professional standards and the development of our nursing colleagues, ensuring outstanding clinical and research practice, that is aligned with our vision. You will lead delivery of the first year of our Trust’s Quality and Safety Plan, as part of a multi-professional executive, and alongside our recently appointed Chief Operating Officer. The Board looks to this role for leadership on safeguarding, infection, and freedom to speak up.  From 24/25 the postholder will lead patient-facing facilities services, which we see as a key route to employing more local people with Lived Experience.
